In Case Of After Hours Emergencies
For emergencies that occur during business hours, please bring your pet directly to our clinic. If it is at all possible to do so, we recommend you call either before leaving or while in transit so that we can prepare the proper equipment or medication your pet will need once you arrive!
For non-life threatening emergencies that occur after business hours, please call our clinic at (636) 464-1038 and leave a detailed message including the nature of the problem, any relevant symptoms your pet has, your name and the best number to reach you at. We will return your call first thing in the morning on the following business day. If this is not convenient for you, and your pet requires veterinary care sooner, please call VSS at the number listed below.
For life threatening emergencies that occur after business hours, we advise that you contact the pet emergency center shown below immediately:
If you suspect your pet has ingested poison, DO NOT wait for symptoms to develop! Bring your pet in to our clinic IMMEDIATELY or call poison control. Left untreated, animals can succumb to poison very quickly.
Animals are also very adept at hiding their discomfort. Just because your pet doesn't appear sick, doesn't mean that they feel good. Due to the internal nature of poisons, your pet may be critically ill without showing many signs.
The ASPCA is your best resource for any animal poison-related emergency, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. If you think that your pet may have ingested a potentially poisonous substance, call (888) 426-4435. A $65 consultation fee may be applied to your credit card
